CURRICULUM
At Birmingham Covington School, more than sixty educational professionals share the common goal of helping our students achieve excellence in all developmental areas. Our educators maintain and improve academic standards through collaboration with other educators and participation in professional learning communities.
Integrated learning is a critical element in all classrooms at BCS. The ability to understand significant themes common to human experience, both past and present, provides students with a framework for understanding themselves and their world. The themes and essential questions for this year have been carefully chosen to connect and link all curriculum areas.
Interdisciplinary curriculum themes unique to BCS rotate on a two-year cycle. Odd years begin Cycle 1, while even years begin Cycle 2.

From our engaging Engage courses that build essential engineering soft skills, to hands-on engineering courses like Engineering Technology, our robust swim program, athletics, and Choice Hour activities, BCS truly has something for everyone. Lottery Registration
LOTTERY & WAITLIST
In the event that registrations at a grade level exceed the available spaces, a lottery will be held. Names selected in the lottery for a grade with no openings will be placed on a waiting list. Should an opening occur, a family will be notified via email in the order of their selection in the lottery and will have 48 hours to either accept or decline the opening. Please check your junk or spam email as this will be your only form of communication.
Should you not respond within the 48 hour deadline, you will lose your spot and we will move on to the next family on the waitlist. The results of the lottery will be published as the BCS Waitlist on this website. If you have any questions, please contact enrollment@birmingham.k12.mi.us
Students must be residents of the Birmingham Public Schools district to register and attend.
