Resident Librarian
Laura Amatulli
Mrs. Amatulli grew up in Mattawan, Michigan. Since leaving there she served in the United States Army in Germany and Texas and moved to the Detroit area. After working in the military and in sales she decided to become a teacher. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree from Oakland University majoring in science and language arts. Later she attended Wayne State University for her Master of Library and Information Science Degree. Working as middle school teacher for 20 years she decided to put her librarian degree to work and served as a librarian for three middle schools in Bloomfield Hills.
Most recently, Mrs. Amatulli has joined BCS. She has fallen in love with librarianship as a profession where helping students choose great books and set life goals is daily practice. In her free time, she enjoys reading (cliché but true!), Detroit Lions Football, exploring new places with family, and drinking a warm latte. She is also an avid podcast listener and a self-improvement fan. Mrs. Amatulli is thrilled to be working with BCS students and can’t wait to help you find the resources you need to pursue your academic goals.
